Our story
Vaal Pet Lodge in Vanderbijlpark opened in 2015 to give families a loving, safe and nurturing place to leave their pets when they go out of town. What started as a small space at a family home has grown into a large plot where families all over Gauteng have entrusted us to care for their pets.
Nikita, who has over 10 years’ experience in the animal industry was employed as a manager in 2022 and helped build a client base we now call family. In 2024 Vaal Pet Lodge was bought by Nikita and has been renamed “Vaal Pet Boarding Lodge” – keeping the same mission statement “where our family takes care of yours.”
The kennel provides your animals with an enriching stay, lots of love and consistent communication. With lots of space and freedom animals thrive when they come to stay. We pride ourselves in making sure your animal receives only the best care. We hope to keep growing our family and expand so more people have the opportunity to make use of our services and always have peace of mind that their pets are in good hands and well taken care of.

Short-term boarding
Going away for a weekend or a week or two, your animals have a safe place to vacation too!
Long-term boarding
If you require a long stay of 30 days or more out of season we can assist with special rates
Day Care
We offer daily visits during our operational hours at R70 per animal per day.
